Christopher V. Butler is lead counsel at Butler Law P.A. His practice focuses on family law, car crashes, criminal law, estate planning, personal injury and complex civil litigation. He has worked extensively on matters involving the family including divorce, time sharing, equitable distribution, child support, and paternity. He has also written and presented on legal topics relating to probate, divorce and paternity matters.
When Mr. Butler takes on a case, his clients reap the benefit of his considerable knowledge, experience and personalized legal representation. Mr. Butler has battled insurers who wrongfully denied coverage to his injured clients. He has successfully defended clients who were accused of crimes, but the evidence was insufficient to convict them. He fought to establish the paternity and set equal time sharing for unwed parents.
Mr. Butler is a member of the Florida Bar’s Family Law and Criminal Law Sections, the American Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, and the Seminole County Bar Association. He is also a trained Collaborative Professional.
Mr. Butler earned his J.D. in 2016 from the FAMU College of Law. As a certified legal intern, he clerked for a county judge and tried his first case. He is admitted to the Florida Bar and the Federal Bar in the Middle District.
Prior to starting the firm, Mr. Butler worked for the Florida State Court System for 11 years where he gained most of his legal experience working closely with attorneys, judges, law enforcement officers and the general public.
